Sowelu was formerly known as "AL Pride". 
This special boy's new name means "complete or whole" which is what he needs to become - he could become a house dog but does not like crating - he is afraid of everything new and would have to have his own yard (walking in public is very scary).  He will require a companion social animal to help bring him around and could be adopted with Sable (who he adores).

 
He had an accident in AL in which his leg was broken (femur completely severed and realigned to where it started healing on its own and could not be surgically repaired by the time we rescued him) so he has a leg that is about 2" shorter - this in no way inhibits him from running or playing but at some point may lead to him having hip or back problems - water therapy is recommended to maintain strength and range of motion – Sowelu will require time, patience and love.
