Promise was originally picked up as a stray in Hillsboro County.  The shelters there had not previously worked with wolfdog rescue, but Promise won the heart of an angel named Lynda.

You would not have recognized her as a wolfdog at that time, as she had severe skin problems probably brought on by stress and other factors (bacterial, viral or yeast), but she did not have mange.  Lost Wolf Rescue arranged for her to be pulled from the shelter and placed into foster care

As her hair grew back, they realized that Promise was higher content than originally thought.  It just so happened that Shy Wolf Sanctuary needed a
younger ambassador and Promise had the golden opportunity to fill that role.  Arrangements were made and Promise quickly won over all the volunteers at SWS.  She loves children and doesn’t even blink at motorcycles and loud music.
